Laurens De Plus aka. Pluske
One of the brightest talents when it comes to stage races and hilly one-day events, Laurens caught everyone’s attention two years ago in some of the most prestigious races of the U23 calendar, like the Flèche Ardennaise, Tour de l’Avenir, Tour Alsace or Giro della Valle d’Aosta, where he also won a stage and the points classification. His results didn’t go unnoticed, and Quick-Step Floors Cycling signed him for the next three seasons.
In his own words, “2016 was a season during which my primary goal was to learn the trade and be there for the team every time they needed my help, a season to which I can look back with pride and a big smile on my face”. As a neo-pro, Laurens rode many big races, from the Vuelta al Pais Vasco to Liège-Bastogne-Liège and the Criterium du Dauphiné, and this year he’ll look to build on this and gain even more World Tour experience.
