TOUR DE FRANCE FAN VILLAGE 2018

A feel-good Quick-Step Team atmosphere with music, live cycling, entertainment and traditional Belgian food and beverages will be at the core of the villages just like there will be daily contests powered by the team and its partners.

In cooperation with Kookeiland, Quick-Step Floors will again organize Fan Villages along the roads of the 2018 Tour de France, which is scheduled to take place between 7-29 July. Kookeiland has been a partner of Quick-Step Floors for many years now and is providing meals for the riders and VIPs during all major races. With this initiative, the team aims to take care of its fantastic fans too! We want to welcome all cycling fans alongside the race roads so they can cheer for their favourite team and/or rider in a great cycling ambiance.

Below you can find an impression of previous editions.

The Tour de France – the world’s biggest annual sporting event – is a thrilling and enchanting race, one from which every fan leaves with a bag full of fantastic memories. To make this experience even more special and unforgettable, we invite you to join us at the Fan Villages that will be open on seven different days throughout the three weeks of the event.

By coming to the Quick-Step Floors Fan Village (which will be open from 12PM and close after the end of the stage, with the entrance being free) – a meeting place for all Quick-Step Floors and other cycling lovers – you’ll have the opportunity to live the Tour de France in a special and unique atmosphere, while at the same time supporting the riders as they pass by the Fan Village before continuing to watch the race on a high-quality B&O TV.

That’s not all: if you register on our website, you’ll get a delicious lunch at the Fan Village for only € 12.5, consisting of a main course, dessert and drink. Worried about calories? No need to! We’ll have two Tacx rollers paired to two iPads so that fans can compete against each other and see who produces the most watts; also to kill time before the stage gets down to crunch time, you can play the spectacular Kingdom Come Deliverance on a game console connected to one of the two on-site B&O TV sets.

“Our aim is to create a must-visit place for the fans during the Tour de France, which everybody knows it’s the season’s biggest event. With these villages our desire is to build and strengthen ties between fans and the team and its partners, who can showcase their products, and hopefully, enjoy many strong results of the Quick-Step Floors riders in July”, said Patrick Lefevere, the team’s CEO.

Mussels party awaits in Carcassonne

The Tour de France is always an exhausting affair for everyone involved, but as always, we’ve got you covered: on the second rest day, in the breathtaking and charming Carcassonne, a town of the most utmost strategic importance for the Romans, nowadays famous for its fortress which is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, we will stage a “Mussels Party”, just as we’ve done in the past. It will be a typical Belgian lunch, with mussels, delicious fries, cold beers and a lot of laughter, during which you’ll also get to meet our staff and sport directors.
